HitTrax Brings Virtual Baseball to MLB Tokyo Series Fan Fest

HitTrax Batting Cages at MLB Tokyo Series Fan Fest

HitTrax partnered with MLB Japan to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience at the Opening Day Tokyo Series. Located at the Tokyo Skytree Tower, this fan fest featured many interactive stations where guests could hit, pitch, take pictures, and immerse themselves in a fun and thrilling atmosphere. Some of the memorabilia at the event included the MLB World Series Trophy, the World Baseball Classic Trophy, and WBC jerseys from Japanese players such as Shohei Ohtani and Ichiro Suzuki.

Open from March 8 – 19, two HitTrax batting cages welcomed thousands of fans to step up to the plate and hit in the virtual Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs stadiums. HitTrax technology tracked the fan’s hits in real-time, offering an authentic and thrilling batting experience for participants. Fans could see their hits, exit velocity, launch angle, and other data metrics, making it feel like they were actually hitting in a major league ballpark.

The batting cages not only showcased the innovative technology of HitTrax but also highlighted the passion for baseball in Japan, as well as the global reach of MLB and its efforts to engage international fans.
